One of the biggest perks of getting married at The Manor at Willowcreek is your location—you’re tucked peacefully between Greenville, South Carolina and Asheville, North Carolina, two of the most fun, scenic cities in the region.

That makes your wedding a perfect excuse for a weekend getaway, not just a single day. Your guests can enjoy mountain views, waterfalls, great food, breweries, and charming downtowns, all wrapped around your celebration.

A weekend wedding doesn’t have to mean a huge destination event or jam‑packed schedule. It simply means you have more time with your guests, not just a few rushed hours. Because The Manor at Willowcreek sits between Greenville and Asheville, you and your guests can pick the city the best hidden gems of the area and celebrate your wedding as the centerpiece of a mini‑vacation.


Your Stay

The Manor at Willow Creek comfortably sleeps up to 14 guests, with three beautiful master suites, two additional King bedrooms, and a game room that offers extra sleeping options. A chef’s kitchen with a large center island creates the perfect spot for everyone to gather, cook, and connect. There’s plenty of room to spread out—enjoy long, relaxed dinners, lawn games, or quiet corners to unwind. Nearby you’ll find great biking, horseback riding, and hiking trails, and a pool will be opening soon to make your stay even more fun.

Bringing a bigger group? In addition to The Manor, we offer a cabin that sleeps 6 and another that sleeps 16. Together, we can host up to 36 guests—ideal for both sides of a wedding party, family reunions, or a getaway with all your favorite people.

Greenville’s downtown is known for its pretty Main Street, great restaurants, and Falls Park on the Reedy, a 32‑acre urban park with gardens, walking paths, and a waterfall right in the middle of downtown, crossed by the dramatic Liberty Bridge.

Sample Weekend Wedding Itinerary

Friday – Welcome to the Weekend

Afternoon / Early Evening: Guest Arrival

  • Guests fly into Greenville-Spartanburg (GSP) (31 minutes) or Asheville Regional (AVL) (43 minutes), Charlotte Douglas Airport (1hr 43mins) and drive in.
  • We suggest keeping Friday low‑pressure and flexible. Maybe even consider coming ahead of your guest and getting massages before festivities begin.

Evening: Welcome Gathering

  • We suggest grabbing Casual welcome drinks at a downtown bar, winery, or brewery close by (we have several options to choose from) Afterwards come check in at Willowcreek. You could host a small family/rehearsal dinner with just the wedding party with the sunset or under the stars.
(Check in with our vendor coordinator or blog for our list of our prefered vendors that would love that could create an unforgettable dinner for you.)


Saturday – Wedding Day at The Manor at Willowcreek


Morning

  • Have a beautiful breakfast spread or pop over to the Hungry Drover or Restaurant 17 in Travelers Rest.
  • Wedding party gets ready in a casual and elegant environment. You can easily do first looks in private corners built into the property.


Afternoon – Ceremony & Reception

All other guests travel to The Manor at Willowcreek, where they’re greeted and directed to your choice of ceremony and later reception location.

An example for your wedding day would be.

  • 3:30 pm – Guests arrive and enjoy the views.
  • 4:00 pm – Outdoor ceremony
  • 4:30 pm – Cocktail hour while you take photos around the waterfalls, mill, and field. Maybe offer games while they wait. Join your guests or greet them at the dinner.
  • 6:00 pm – Dinner and toasts
  • 7:30 pm – Dancing
  • 10:00 pm – Grand exit

Sunday – Farewell & Explore

Morning: Pool Side Brunch (Optional)

Didn't do a rehearsal dinner or just want to extend the experience? Consider a brunch by the pool! Having your wedding party together one last time before jetting off to your next adventure is a great way to say goodbye

Afternoon: Exploring the Area

From Greenville:

  • Have some time to burn before your flight? Consider a stroll through Falls Park on the Reedy. Want something more active? Biking or walking a portion of the nearby Swamp Rabbit Trail


From Asheville:

  • Consider driving a scenic stretch of the Blue Ridge Parkway for overlooks and short hikes. Also, consider visiting Biltmore!


This gives guests a satisfying “end” to the weekend instead of just waking up and driving away.
